Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday was amazing! Okay, it was quite a bit beyond amazing but I can’t think of any superior adjectives right off so we’ll stick with that one.
My List of Awesome Things:
The Sacred Stone Baronial Dayboard
I was asked by my beloved Baroness Aza to organize a dayboard to rest under the Sacred Stone/Royal pavilion for attendees. Hospitality is something I take very, very seriously and so in working with Lord Alfric and Patron Murienne, a fabulous dayboard of amazing munchies was created.
I have some snaps but I apologize in advance, by the time that the entirety of the dayboard had been constructed, I was distracted enough that I did not capture pictures of their contributions. This is a shame, as their food was not only delicious, but gorgeous! If you missed Murienne’s Salmon Empanadas and Alfric’s Bourbon Balls, you might ask them to make them again so you can try them. They were truly epic.
All of the materials used for the dayboard were made to be reused, or were compostable. This includes the plates, napkins, cutlery, servers, and serving utensils.
The breads I baked:
The Feast Bread
As some of you are aware, due to my earlier posts, I had the privilege of providing a period Spanish bread for the second reserve of the feast, provided by Master Robear. As I was unable to attend feast, due to my dietary restrictions, I was more than pleased to hear that my bread had been received well, or at least not chucked back into the kitchen! The details of my involvement in feast, and the documentation of my bread, can be found here.
All of the SCAdians, Everywhere
I was able to visit, laugh, drink, and eat with so many of my compatriots! However, I was unable to sit and share a moment with everyone that I wanted. I promise that if I missed hugging and sharing company with you at this event, I will most assuredly catch up with you at another.
For those of you I did get to see, I love you so very much. You are why I do what I do and you make the magic happen!
The Event Staff
Thank you, all of you, for your hard work. I know I am not the only one who is grateful, upon a profound level, for what your hard work provided. I had a glorious time and I cannot wait for the next Sacred Stone Baronial Birthday!
