University of Atlantia 111b 9.19.22

I hope everyone is having a lovely Sunday. Personally, I am curled up on my couch, drinking coffee, and talking with my partner Owain about how excited I am to be teaching at University of Atlantia.

The Skinny

The link to register is here: https://university.atlantia.sca.org/

As I previously mentioned, I will be teaching two classes through Zoom:

  1. 2pm-3pm Eastern: Letting Down Her Hair: Women in Fairytale and Folklore
  2. 3:30pm-4:30pm Eastern: Prospera’s Staff: A Discussion of Gender Negotiation in William Shakespeare’s The Tempest

Important Things to Know

  1. If you are reading this and are from another Kingdom, please know that you can register to take my classes and many, many more!
  2. My University classes cost nothing. I have never charged and I will not charge for handouts or anything else. If you feel compelled to make a donation of any kind, make it directly to the University of Atlantia.
  3. If you are not a member of the SCA, but rather know me through other avenues, and would like the Zoom link to attend the class, please contact me via email, messenger, or text.
  4. I do not record my classes, nor do I allow them to be recorded. I hope that my audiences are candid with their questions, and feel free to express themselves without judgement. Recordings tend to have a chilling effect on that sort of discourse and I cannot abide that.
  5. A link to the class handouts will be provided for those who attend. For all others, handouts to classes I am teaching for the first time will be made available at a later date.
  6. I usually stay late, or make myself available after class to answer any questions or concerns but given another commitment on Sunday, I will have to ask that students contact me through email.

Wrapping Up

That’s about the long and the short of it! I hope to see many of you on my computer screen come Sunday. Meanwhile, take care of yourselves, my lovelies.
